Privacy Policy for Tutor Ledger

Effective date: 28 May 2026

Tutor Ledger is a local-first Android app for private tutors. It helps users keep track of students, classes, lessons, schedules, payments, reports and backups.

Data collection

Tutor Ledger does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data with the developer or with third parties.

The app does not require an account, does not use a server, does not use cloud synchronization, does not include advertising, and does not include analytics or tracking.

Data stored on your device

The information entered into the app, such as student names, class names, lesson records, schedules, payments, balances, notes and app settings, is stored locally on the user's device.

This data remains under the user's control. The developer does not have access to it.

Backups and export

Tutor Ledger allows users to create manual backup files and local automatic backups. Manual backup files are created only when the user chooses to export them.

If a user saves, shares or uploads a backup file outside the app, the user is responsible for where that file is stored and who can access it.

Data deletion

Users can delete records inside the app. Users can also delete all local app data by clearing the app storage or uninstalling the app from their device.

Children

Tutor Ledger is intended for adult tutors and is not designed for children.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app's functionality changes. Any updates will be published on this page.
